During band's rehearsal break for Sunday's Movie Awards, we put Foos to the test.

<P><b>UNIVERSAL CITY, California</b> — Hard rock, heavy metal, hardcore and punk have long gone hand-in-hand with evil wizards, magic, vampires and werewolves. And with a collective sub-cultural pedigree that includes stints in the Germs, No Use for a Name, Sunny Day Real Estate, Scream and some band called Nirvana, you'd think the <a href="/music/artist/foo_fighters/artist.jhtml">Foo Fighters</a> — set to perform at Sunday's <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2011/">Movie Awards</a> — would know their "Potter" from their Zeppelin. Certainly they can recognize a "wand" reference and pinpoint its origin? </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:660301.id:1664959" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Right? Before we put MTV News' magically crafted trivia to the band, it seemed safe to assume the Foos would accurately distinguish between the words of Harry Potter, a "Twilight" character and Led Zeppelin. But was their underground nerd cred blown to shreds? Read on — and click the video! — to see how the Foo Fighters fared when we caught up with them on the Universal Studios lot, shortly after they finished rehearsing their <a href="/news/articles/1664297/foo-fighters-mtv-movie-awards.jhtml">Movie Awards performance</a>. Our own Jim Cantiello played dungeon master as Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear were given a series of semi-famous lines and asked whether they originated with "Harry Potter," the "Twilight Saga" or the lyrics of hard-rock pioneers Led Zeppelin. Here's a sampling of a few of those one-liners: <b>»</b> "The elder wand, the most powerful wand ever made." <b>»</b> "Why don't you let me be yours ever truly? It has been confirmed that Monkees singer Davy Jones died today at the age of 66. TMZ broke the story reporting that the amazing singer from the hit band suffered a heart attack that took his life. A rep for Jones revealed that he was at his Florida home this morning when the heart attack occurred. He was transported to Memorial Hospital which is located in Martin County, Florida where he passed away. Davy is survived by his third wife Jessica, along with his four daughters from a previous marriage. The singer along with Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork shot to fame with their group The Monkees. They had mega hit songs like ‘Daydream Believer,’ ‘Hey, Hey, We’re the Monkees,’ and ‘Last Train to Clarksville.’ The guys got their rise to fame via being cast by TV producers who were looking to create a scripted show about a rock band. No habrá más Led Zeppelin, no hay planes de que lo haya. Mensch comentó: "Led Zeppelin se acabó. Si no los vieron en el 2007, se los perdieron. Kristen Stewart's Post-Oscar Weekend LAX Liftoff
Finishing off her short visit to the west coast, Kristen Stewart was spotted prepping for takeoff in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (February 28).
The 21-year-old actress was casually dressed for her work week travels, as she toted a carry-on through the LAX terminal before hopping aboard the outbound jet.
The travels come as Miss Stewart enjoyed a low-key Oscar weekend in Tinseltown with her "Twilight" co-star beau Robert Pattinson.
Of seeing the pair at the WME pre-party on Friday night, a source told E!, "They were just being their usual low-key, chill selves."
Another insider at the private soiree added, "They were like everybody else. You know, sweet and for sure together, not showy."

His life never seems to slow down, and Justin Bieber was spotted on his way to a photo shoot in Los Angeles earlier today (February 28).
The “One Less Lonely Girl” singer headed into a studio, carrying a BlenderBottle with some sort of nutrition shake to stay fit and healthy.
In legal news, Justin’s lawsuit against RC3 games (the company behind the ‘Joustin Beaver’ game) has been countered by the the defendants, who say they have a First Amendment right to parody the pop star.
As a result, RC3 is demanding a declaration from Bieber’s camp stating that they haven’t misrepresented Justin’s trademark or misappropriated his name.

<P>MTV News spent hours interviewing artists and stars on the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1679060">Grammy red carpet</a>. After everyone was inside Los Angeles' Staples Center, some of the news team made their way backstage while the rest made their way to their seats. Here are some observations that anyone watching from their couch would never have seen: <b>Pretty Please, More Pink</b>: Inside Staples Center, they play highlights from past shows during commercial breaks. <a href="/news/articles/1630885/pink-soars-during-glitter-in-the-air-grammy-performance.jhtml">Pink's performance of "Glitter in the Air"</a> captivated the audience so much that when they cut back to the show, the entire crowd groaned. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:733130.id:1679087" width="240" height="211"></div><p> <b>Mother Monster's Security Detail</b>: Lady Gaga moved through the arena flanked by two bodyguards in order to make it safely to her seat in time for Recording Industry President Neil Portnoy's speech. Gaga was also safer than the Beatle in the house. Sir Paul McCartney had no protection during his dual-performance night. <b>Get Up, Stand Up</b>: The audience inside Staples Center seemed unsure of when to stand up and sit down all night. The minute Paul McCartney appeared onstage, all that uncertainty disappeared. <b>One Step Behind?</b>: While <a href="/news/articles/1679084/grammy-awards-chris-brown-performance.jhtml">Chris Brown's footwork</a> looked quite impressive on air, our source told us the vibe inside Staples was lukewarm after his physical performance. <b>Join the Band</b>: Many audience members were given arm bands with a Coldplay logo on it and told to put them on <a href="/news/articles/1679090/grammys-2012-rihanna-coldplay-performance.jhtml">during the band's performance</a> with Rihanna. <b>The Standing O You Missed</b>: When Tony Bennett won a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group for his duet with Amy Winehouse during the pre-televised ceremony, the crowd rose to its feet. "We shouldn't be here. Our darling daughter should be here," Winehouse's father Mitch said after embracing Bennett. <b>On the Bubble</b>: The night's big winner, Adele, was chewing gum backstage after <a href="/news/articles/1679097/grammys-2012-adele-performance.jhtml">her triumphant performance of "Rolling in the Deep."</a> That applause you heard on TV was no joke. And when MTV News caught up with her on the <i>Essence</i> Black Women in Hollywood red carpet, she told us all about channeling her inner Robert Plant for the tracks, a process that came much easier than you'd probably imagine. "I did Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Whole Lotta Love' — it's crazy," she said. "I am a Led Zeppelin fan. I'm not going to say I've been to their concerts, but I've listened to their music since I was a child, and it's always moved me, especially 'Stairway to Heaven,' and 'Whole Lotta Love' is just fun." Blige also said she recorded another new song — a "club record" called "I Can't Wait" — for the re-release. And while it's only slated to hit shelves outside the U.S., she hopes her fans will get a chance to hear all the new songs pretty soon. "I want y'all to hear it," she laughed.</p>

Justin Bieber Reveals Release Dates For New Singles
Bieber's Far East Movement collabo drops next week, followed by his first Believe single in March.

<P>Fans who want to hear some new music from <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> won't have to wait much longer. The singer has revealed that he's set to drop not one but two singles in the very near future. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="id:1672718" width="240" height="211"></div><p> First off, Bieber's <a href="/news/articles/1679414/justin-bieber-far-east-movement-studio-redone.jhtml">collaboration with Far East Movement</a>, which also features Party Rockers LMFAO, drops on Tuesday. The <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber" target="_blank">Twitter</a> announcement for the release included the hashtag "#LiveMyLife," perhaps a hint as to the name of the song. The song's producer, RedOne, recently spoke to MTV News about the track. "I did a few songs with Far East Movement, and one of the songs ... to me, it's a smash," he said. "And Justin sang the chorus. It's a really good song, and I think people are gonna dance like crazy to it." In addition to the release, Bieber revealed that the first single off his forthcoming album <i>Believe</i> will drop in March. "And u guys keep asking. so yeah. my single is NEXT MONTH>#BELIEVE," he wrote. Little else is known about the song, but given the caliber of talent he's been recording with for the album of the same name, it's certain to be something his Beliebers will look forward to. For the album, he's hooked up with everyone from Pharrell and Rodney Jerkins to Drake, Lil Wayne, Timbaland and will.i.am. "The only conversation we've had about <a href="/news/articles/1675015/justin-bieber-new-album.jhtml">Justin's album</a> that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition, because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," vocal producer Kuk Harrell told us. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between." It's an exciting time for Bieber. As he continues to up his professional game, he's also about to celebrate a personal milestone: The teen star will turn 18 on March 1.</p>

On Tuesday, she dropped a sketch of her gothic castle-themed <a href="/news/articles/1678676/lady-gaga-born-this-way-stage.jhtml">stage design</a>, and in the very early hours of Wednesday morning (February 8), she teased fans with a poster for the trek. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:717952" width="240" height="211"></div><p> The black-and-white poster, which includes touches of neon purple and turquoise, features an omniscient image of Gaga, decked out in her full "BTW" horned look, looking down from the sky. Underneath, in a castle that looks an awful lot like the one from the tour sketch, Gaga, wearing a piano dress, hangs with a group of suit-wearing dudes. And, for those paying close enough attention, Zombie Boy even makes an appearance, peeking out from one of the castle windows. In her long-simmering latest <a href="/news/articles/1670550/lady-gaga-you-and-i-fashion-film.jhtml">"Yoü and I" fashion film</a>, Gaga portrays her male alter ego, <a href="http://popcrush.com/lady-gaga-fourth-haus-of-u-you-i-fashion-jo-calderone" target="_blank">Jo Calderone</a>. Jo smolders in the mini-film, smoking his way through it. Clips of Jo stripping (revealing Gaga's taped-down chest) are intercut with shots of Gaga done up in an S&M-type outfit, dancing and tossing her long blond hair. The same outfit is worn by other dancers also featured in the clip, directed by Inez and Vinoodh. Along with all these developments Little Monsters have to be excited about, this Sunday, Mother Monster is up for a number of Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for <i>Born This Way</i> and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Yoü and I." <i>Are you excited for Lady Gaga's upcoming tour? Kate Upton’s Racy Carl’s Jr. Commercial Is Hot! (Video)
If you thought Kate Upton’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover was hot you haven’t seen anything yet my friends. As if men needed another reason to drool over the smoking hot Upton, she is now starring in a commercial for the fast food chain Carl’s Jr. and let me just say she is turning up the heat big time. She may have been hired to promote the new Southwest Patty Melts but the 19-year is promoting a whole heck of a lot more than just a sandwich that is for sure. Kate certainly seemed to enjoy the patty melt she was eating, which I guess was the point because it made me want to go get one and I don’t even like patty melts. What could possibly be so good about the sandwich that would make the blonde bombshell like it so much? Well I don’t know if there is anything other than that was what she was paid to sell but the melt is made up of charbroiled beef patty, with jalapeños, pepper-Jack cheese, grilled onions and Santa Fe sauce on sourdough bread. I'm getting ready to go to the gym (again, like a total Angeleno!) so I will update later about my run-ins with Alexander Skarsgard, Pauly Shore, and Jeremy or Jason London (I'm not sure which one it was and seeing if I could force him to do drugs to find out seemed unfair. Besides, as it turned out, he was telling the truth?)
Anyhoo, I've got a lot to tell you about gardening! (Did you know if you get dirt wet it turns into mud? Yuck.)

<P>When <a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> and <a href="/music/artist/guetta_david/artist.jhtml">David Guetta</a> hooked up for the French DJ's latest album, <i>Nothing but the Beat,</i> the two superstars created a chart-topping smash, <a href="/news/articles/1670301/usher-david-guetta-without-you.jhtml">"Without You,"</a> that combines Guetta's ear for house beats and Usher's ability to convey a range of emotions with his voice. It's a song that has really stuck with fans of all genres of music. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:713197" width="240" height="211"></div><p> The track — a swirling pop ode to not giving up on love in the face of adversity — struck Usher with its emotional core. "We talked for many years about working together, and we found a record that was incredible." Usher said it was a song that resonated with him personally.
